This is VERMONT. Sunset over Lake Champ / Moon rising over Camel's Hump as seen from our house!!

One bumper sticker says: "Moonlight in Vermont - or starve..." and it is actually true for most.

1. Vermont has the sixth highest cost of living, and # one in property taxes (out of 50 states). Horrible!! This has long been known by those of us who live here.


2. The most disgusting is, out of 50 states, Vermont ranks 11th per capita in number of lawyers. It is well known that the United States is the most litigious nation on the planet earth.  Mundus vult decipi - ergo decipiatur - as they say...


3. etc, med mera, och så vidare --- but my wife, Gail (a native Vermonter) and I are very content and happy!!

A visitor from Holland was chatting with his American friend and was jokingly explaning about the red, white and blue in the Netherlands flag.

"Our flag symbolizes our taxes," he said. "We get red when we talk about them, white when we get our tax bill and blue after we pay them."

"That's the same with us," the American said, "only we see stars , too".

Hmmm - Now - I let you imagine what happens in Sweden...
